Dharavi - The first TEDx Dharavi event based on the theme 'Reimagine Redefine' was held on Sunday, 5 February 2017. The event was scheduled from 11 am to 5 pm at the open-air auditorium at Maharashtra Nature's Park in Dharavi. The event concluded with 13 eminent speakers sharing their ideas and thoughts with the audience. The event explored innovation under constraints, taking inspiration from the innovations originating out of Dharavi.
Speaking on the occasion, organiser of TedxDharavi, Mr. Raghuveer Surupa said,"TEDxDharavi took inspiration from the tiny lanes of Dharavi to explore the thought of innovation under constraint. The idea was to highlight the innovation and talent coming out of Dharavi as well as showcase ideas from across India and around the world that could impact this community."
