Rajasthan High Court sends notices Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari

Salman Khan, Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam Kothari were held with regards to killing two blackbucks in 1998 during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hai.

Following the state government's appeal against their acquittal, Rajasthan High Court on Monday served fresh notices Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari and a local resident, Dushyant Kumar, with regards to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. 

The High Court, on state government's plea, earlier issued notices to the five respondents. On Monday, they were issues notices post Mahipal Singh (prosecution counsel) informed that only Neelam Kothari had received its earlier notices. They have also been asked by the court to respond to the notices within eight weeks.

Last year on April 5 last year, Salman Khan was proven guilty, and evidence was asked for the remaining five people, and authorities were questioned regarding the same as well. Keeping the same in mind, Salman, under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, was also given five-year imprisonment with a penalty of Rs 10,000. His appeal is currently pending in the High Court, for he was held guilty for killing two blackbucks in 1998 during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hai.
