The new year has not started well for the city. Right when the statewide Bhima Koregaon protest comes to an end, there is a buzz on the social media that a portion of the foot over bridge has collapsed in Mumbai's Currey road station. However, Mumbai Live has confirmed that the portion of the bridge has not collapsed. The pole which was used to construct the bridge, tilted, leading to a confusion at the location, and this incident happened at 9:00 AM in the morning.

However, no casualties have been reported as yet. There are two FOBs on the station and this incident occurred at the same location where the army was going to construct the new FOB. No official information from the railways has been received.

Few months back, Elphinstone road station’s foot over bridge had collapsed raising questions regarding the governance and how BMC has been functioning in the city. Many Mumbaikars lost lives during the tragedy, eventually raising an alarm, and such incidents only lead to many other questions.
