Amid the coronavirus pandemic, a lockdown has been imposed in order to curb the spread of the virus in Mumbai, which has recorded 31,972 cases so far. Despite the risk of contracting the disease, Mumbai Police personnel have been patrolling the streets 24x7. So far, 1,889 policemen have tested positive for coronavirus, of which, 656 are Mumbai Police officials.

However, amid the dire situation, the medical staff at Guru Nanak Hospital gave an ATS official from Juhu Unit who is under quarantine, a memorable birthday greeting by celebrating his birthday in the hospital and dancing with him to the tunes of the popular Marathi song 'Zingaat'. The staff members also brought him a cake to celebrate his birthday.

Mumbai Police took Twitter to share the moment of happiness amid all the chaos caused due to COVID-19:

"A Happy and ‘Healthy’ Birthday! Staff of Guru Nanak Hospital celebrated the birthday of our Police Naik from ATS, Juhu Unit getting treated for COVID19 at the hospital. We thank them for taking care of him and also for taking the efforts of planning a pleasant surprise for him," Mumbai Police wrote on their Twitter handle.

So far, as many as 20 police personnel have died of coronavirus infection in Maharashtra. Till now, 1,889 police personnel, including 207 officers, have tested positive for the disease in the state. On the brighter side, 838 police personnel, including 67 officers, have been discharged after recovery so far.
