India lost by 18 runs against New Zealand in the first semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and the favourites were knocked out of contention for the World Cup Trophy. Despite a valiant fightback from Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni, India were defeated by the Kiwis who qualified for the Final.

The team may have lost the Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final, but they still will remain to be one of the best One-Day sides in cricket. This also shows how brutal cricket as a sport is since India were the table-toppers in the league stage but succumbed to 45 minutes of bad cricket.
