As Mumbaikars will bid-adieu to one-and-a-half day's Ganpati, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has released a comprehensive list of ward-wise designated immersion sites to facilitate smooth and orderly procession of Ganpati idols. These places will also be applicable for other Visarjan days.
Celebrated as Lord Ganesha’s birth anniversary, this year the 10-day festival began on September 18 and will end on September 28.
By allocating specific disposal centers in each ward, the BMC aims to facilitate the disposal process, reduce traffic congestion and minimise the impact on the environment.
