The doctors were held after the crime branch raided the areas in Byculla and Nagpada.

Mumbai's Crime Branch recently raided several dispensaries in the area of Nagpada and Byculla and held five doctors who were practising without a degree. Moreover, four of them had completed their schooling between grade 7 to 12 and one had never attended school at all.

These doctors had certificates of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), which actually belonged to someone else. The police had tracked these doctors from their advertisements that they had put up on public toilets, railway stations and other public places claiming that they cure sexual diseases. 

The five people have been identified as Shamsher Shaikh, (38), Anwar Hussain (45) Naim Shaikh (40), Nawab Hussain (36) and Rizwanuddin Banjara (35).
