Ahead of the third wave, the inoculation drive is going on in full swing in the entire country. The second wave had caused a lot of damage and thus the objective at the moment is to get the maximum number of people to receive the jab before the third wave strikes.

While some experts believe that India will start experiencing the impact of the third wave by the end of the month, there are others that claim that though there is a spike being reported from certain states,  we are still in the second wave.

On Thursday, the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that it had administered the COVID-19 vaccines to all the judges of the Bombay High Court, officers, staffers working there as well as their families. The inoculation drive also included former judges.  BMC A Ward had taken over the charge for this exercise.

For this achievement, BMC's medical teams also earned the appreciation of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta. He congratulated the team and even complimented them for carrying out the entire drive in a smooth and efficient manner.

Chief Justice Datta presented a letter of appreciation to the A Ward Medical Officer Prajakta Amberkar after the drive ended.

The vaccination effort came even as the Bombay HC launched a hybrid system of physical and virtual hearings at the court premises from this week, which was being demanded a long and was lauded by lawyers and litigants.

The lawyers have also been demanding a further easing of restrictions on travel. There is a growing demand in the general public and even the lawyer to restart the local trains. Presenting their viewpoint, the lawyers want that members who have received at least one dose of the vaccine should be allowed to travel via Mumbai Locals.
