Mumbai metro has served to be a boon for many who travel from the central to western zone in the city or vice versa. Following many developments related to the metro is this news, where passengers traveling via the metro will soon be able to book tickets through a click.
As per the reports, the option shall be available only for the ones booking their monthly or quarterly passes. The passengers will have to follow a process by first booking tickets on mobile, following which they will be given a QR code. On showing this QR code at the ticket counter, one will be able to enter the gates.
Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) is preparing a plan in this regard. Under this scheme, MMOPL will provide mobile tickets and if everything is right then this service will start in August. Further, it has been brought to the notice that if this scheme is successful, Mumbai Metro will be the first in the country to provide mobile ticket arrangement.
