Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narayan Rane on Thursday threatened Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut saying that “his tongue will not remain intact” if he spoke anything against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his descendants.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is our god and Sanjay Raut should not dare to speak about him and his family,” said Narayan Rane.

This comes after senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut lashed out at BJP leader Udyanraje Bhosale demanding proof of his lineage that he is the descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Reacting to Raut’s remarks, Rane alleged that he had lost his mental balance and needed to be sent to the hospital for treatment.

Narayan Rane also demanded a police investigation into the remarks made by Sanjay Raut over his talks with wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

Raut, who was a journalist earlier, had said that he has seen the underworld in Mumbai and had reproached fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

Does he have the courage to threaten Dawood Ibrahim? I have my doubts that he was involved with him. The government should investigate his talks with Dawood Ibrahim,” Rane demanded.

On Wednesday, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had claimed that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi used to meet yesteryear don Karim Lala in Mumbai.
