In order to carry out the work of re-alignment of curve between Bandra and Mahim station, the Western Railways (WR) is operating a major block at Mahim on Up and Down Harbour line.

According to reports, due to this ongoing infrastructure work, all down harbour trains will skip halt at Mahim down Harbour Platform for 15 days. However, passengers for Mahim are permitted to travel via Bandra in the Up direction.

The skipping of halt at all down harbour trains at Mahim came into effect soon after the completion of block that was operated on Sunday, June 12 at Mahim on UP and DOWN Harbour line between Bandra and Mahim Junction as a shadow of Central Railway mega block from 10.55 am to 4.55 pm

In an official statement, railway administration stated that passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused due to this infra block.

Explaining further, official mentioned that for at least 15 days, trains starting from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Goregaon / Andheri / Bandra will not stop at Mahim station on Harbour route.

WR engineers are trying to find an alternative in the hope of avoiding this step which could cause inconvenience to the passengers for which a decision will be made in a day or two.

At present there are about 65 trains daily on Bandra / Goregaon-CSMT up and down route.
