Now showing at Monkey Bar (Mumbai), “Mango Talkies” – is a delightful tribute to the King of Fruits in a myriad of fascinating roles!  Directed and produced by the incredible team in-house, “Mango Talkies” is the seasonal blockbuster menu, packed with exciting Indian flavours and delightful interpretations of mango inspired dishes from across the country. A menu so extraordinary, that it deserves to be on the big screen. Presenting Mango Talkies, a spread of six dishes, all featuring one King! Every dish on the menu deserves a spot in the limelight for a different reason - be it the delicious sweet and sour home-made aam panna in the Not Your Aam Gupchup or the Shuddh Desi Tacos – a Pardesi offering with a desi twist of braised jackfruit wrapped in wholewheat tacos or the hot and sizzling ‘She’s Meen That Way’ – Kerala’s own Meen ( fish) Mango curry, or Pride of Malda – a twist on Bengal’s Chingri Malai Paturi . Taking inspiration from different regional cuisines, this menu has a star from every state. So, head to Monkey Bar for the premiere of Mango Talkies, where every dish will delight and surprise you.

Mango Talkies features a range of dishes that will speak of the story of the mango. Start off with Odisha’s street food favourite, Not Your Aam Gupchup – chatpata potato and chickpea stuffed pani puri with roasted green mango, served with a sweet & sour home-made aam panna. It’s only our second best favourite kind of shots. Moving onto another sought out star, She’s Meen That Way – a hot favourite from Kerala, the famous Meen (Fish) Mango Curry, served with steamed rice and accompanied with a delicious home-made mango ginger and mustard pickle. Yet another star is born and this one is a little Pardesi but with a desi twist of course! Get ready to welcome on the big screen - Shuddh Desi Tacos  – braised jackfruit stuffed in whole wheat tacos, topped with a zingy, chilli mango, kala aam papad and a drizzle of fresh mint cream. Presenting the Hero from the South – our very own ‘Pepper Chicken Reddy’ – fiery chicken cooked with black pepper, roasted raw mango puree and curry leaves! Not to be left out of the dazzling show is Pride of Malda – a twist on Bengal’s Chingri Malai Paturi. Prawns wrapped in banana leaf and cooked with coconut milk, Malda mango and served with gobindobhog rice. This is truly the season’s finest tribute to the absolute favourite Mango!  There is just so much to choose from at Monkey Bar’s Mango Talkies, that you’d need to do several shows to explore them all!
