Afghan In A MEATer at Taftoon Bar & Kitchen

Trafton, Mumbai’s renowned restaurant, presenting diverse regional cuisines introduces Afghan in a MEAT’er comprising of a Meter-long kebab (known as Kandhari Koobideh) served with flavourful Afghani Mantu(Meat dumpling). Made of the most widely used lamb meat in Afghanistan, these dishes are often found at restaurants and outdoor vendor stalls in the native country. The restaurant endeavours to bring a combination of two popular street foods from Afghanistan on a meter long slit. Taftoon’s MEAT’er magic is valid till 31 st March 2020

Kandhari Koobideh, this delectable kebab comprises of hand pounded minced lamb, marinated overnight, barbequed on a flat skewer. The yummy Afghani Mantu, one of the most beloved dishes from Afghanistan, consists of a meat (Lamb) stuffed dumpling filled with onions and a hint of spices, topped with tomato-based and garlic flavoured yoghurt sauces, all steamed in a multilayer steamer. As tradition calls, Mantu is served on special occasions and large gatherings. 

The one MEAT’er comes with rumali roti and siders such as pickled vegetables. The mutton will be topped with oven-dried tomatoes, laid on a salad bed adding some colour to the dish. With a quick 20-min-prep, the huge meter long slit is all that you need on the table for a team of four.
