Julia Hadon, a certified Ballet Dancer and founder of Prima Ballerinas alongside Orhan Awatramani, identifiable to India’s millennials as ‘Orry’ on Instagram, an activist, illustrator & trendsetter will take over Nara Colaba’s newly launched fun and edgy cocktail bar - downstairs to shake things up! After the over-whelming success of the first edition of The Bitter Bartender at Yauatcha, BKC featuring Devraj Sanyal, MD & CEO of Universal Music Group along with Romil Ratra, CEO of The A Club, join in for the second edition on this Saturday.
Guests and friends will select either of their cocktails made with innovative ingredients and techniques and cheer for their favourite bartender to win the title of ‘The Bitter Bartender’. 20% of the cocktail sales will then be proceeded to two causes each of them closely believes in.
The cocktails on the menu are named in honour of an old-world Bombay, they are modern in flavour and paired with high-quality ingredients and techniques. Expect an infusion of galangal and plum in a glass, another with fennel and dill and other innovative combinations that go into making these cocktails.
These cocktails are created to celebrate Bombay and are inspired from the bygone charm of the city! Julia’s concoctions include - Flora with Stranger & Sons gin, St. Elder and home-made dill bitters and New Olympia with Jose Cuervo Silver, lemon sherbet and a zing of chilli tincture. Orry will mix cocktails like Colio made with Stranger & Sons gin, galangal and plum and The Ballard with Bourbon whiskey, fernet branca and ricard mist.
Come, sip on either of their cocktails and cheer your favourite bartender to win the title - “The Bitter Bartender.” 20% of the cocktail sales made by Julia Hadon will be dedicated to Magic Bus, an NGO supporting kids’ education while proceeds from Orhan Awatramani’s cocktail sales would go to The Blind School.
