Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on April 15 said that the state is leading the nation in infrastructure construction and is moving forward quickly under the Mahayuti administration. He made these statements at the Shiv Sena headquarters in Thane while speaking to the media.

Maharashtra progressed rapidly, and today the state has the highest number of infrastructure works, he added. The new projects include Atal Setu, Pune Expressway Missing Link, Coastal Road, Metro Lines, Vasai Alibaug Corridor, Goa Greenfield Highway, Nagpur-Goa Expressway, Samruddhi Mahamarg, and many others are being built in Maharashtra.

The Mumbai-Trans Harbour Link traffic monitoring system is equipped with over 374 high-end cameras, including an artificial intelligence (AI) system, making it a cutting-edge technological advancement.

Meanwhile, nearly 4.5 lakh cars have travelled the nine-minute, signal-free route from Worli to Marine Drive since Coastal Road's partial opening on March 12. This translates to an average of roughly 19,500 cars each day. On March 15, it attained its greatest day traffic volume of 22,880, and on March 21, it recorded its best hourly traffic count of 2,943 between 10 am -11 am.

CM Eknath Shinde further said that the ruling Mahayuti government has taken over 120 decisions for farmers in the shortest possible time and created history.

Further in his address, the CM mentioned that since his government was established 1.9 years ago, they have been trying to comprehend and address problems that affect the average person, including merchants. He said we make decisions based on principles and have the authority to do so. The previous government never requested assistance from the centre, but now-a-days, the centre quickly approves a great deal of work. Among the many projects we are working on is providing residents with health benefits right at their doorstep, he said.

Shinde took a jab at the previous government, claiming that while they worked from a distance, he worked directly with people. He said that under the pretence of COVID, the previous government was intent on restricting festivals and stopping people's development projects. There was a tendency for the government to apply limits here, which hindered growth, whenever the number of COVID cases increased in the US or Japan. He claimed that as soon as his government took charge, they lifted all curbs and that Covid left after realising how far we had come.

In a swipe at the opposition, CM Eknath Shinde claimed that the Congress party had been taken over by two regional parties (UBT and NCP SP) without any flags or agenda, and they still had not chosen a prime minister. In addition to mentioning how the Mahayuti party's popularity was growing as a result of the 48 former BMC corporators joining them, Shinde stated that they should give clarification of their work in the last 60 years instead of asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
