Starting Saturday midnight to Sunday, suburban and long distance trains can be affected as foot-over bridge (FOB) will be broken by the Central Railway (CR) between Sion and Kurla. The FOB is being brought down as it has been classified as 'dilapidated' and is risky for daily commuters.
A CR spokesperson said that the Panvel bound trains from CSMT can get cancelled from 11.59 am to 12.40 pm and from 4.32 pm to 5.56 hours.
Further, trains can get cancelled from CSMT to Panvel / Belapur / Vashi from 9.50 am to 12.03 pm and from 3.51 pm to 5.15 pm. During the mega-block, special services will be conducted between Panvel and Mankhurd. Pune-CSMT-Pune Sinhagad Express, Manmad-CSMT-Manmad State Rani Express, Pune-CSMT-Pune Deccan Queen Express, Manmad-CSMT-Manmad Panchavati Express and Manmad-LTT-Manmad Godavari Express will be canceled.
The CSMT-Madgaon Mandovi Express will depart on Sunday at 9.10 pm instead of 7.10 pm. Similarly, CSMT-KSR Bangalore Express will depart from 10.00 pm instead of 8.05 pm. Along with this, many trains from Central Railway will arrive late on Sunday.
