Kangana Ranaut shares negative Covid-19 report on her social media

Kangana Ranaut is one actress that in the past year has been known more for her controversial statements than her acting chops. While she prides in claiming that she is top paid actresses of Bollywood and has four national awards to her credit, she is often seen making comments that land her in one controversy or the other.

It has now reached a point where even her claim to have tested negative for COVID-19 too is become a topic to discuss. To silence all those suggesting that she is lying Kangana posted her reports on her Instagram stories. Recently Kangana's Twitter account was banned permanently but she continues to use Instagram to connect with fans.

Along with the report, she also wrote, "All the demons who are asking for my report because they see the world as a projection of their interior, here it is… A Ram bhakt never lies… Jai Shri Ram”.

The actress had on May 8 informed her fans and the world at large about testing positive for the deadly virus. The 34-year old actress had posted a video on her Instagram informing that she has tested positive and in the same, she also referred to COVID-19 to be nothing more than a "small time flu which got too much press". This video was later pulled down by Instagram as her video reeked of insensitivity along with spreading misinformation.

The video had come at a time when India as a nation is battling a deadly second wave.  On May 19 too India has recorded 4,529 deaths, which is the highest single-day toll recorded in any country ever since the pandemic began. Furthermore, this is the seventh time since May 12 when India has registered over 4,000 daily deaths due to COVID-19. While the numbers for Mumbai have come down but the country continues to battle the virus on a war footing.

Coming back to Kangana, the video that the actress posted in regards to her recovery is on similar lines to her testing positive. In this video, one can see her preach about how she used kadha, yoga and meditation to beat the virus.

On the work front, the Queen actress would be next seen in a biopic of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa which is titled Thalaivi. It had to release a few months ago but has been delayed due to the pandemic.
