Shahid Kapoor's next 'Arjun Reddy' to go on floors in August

After essaying a power packed role in 'Padmaavat', Shahid Kapoor is all set to feature in ‘Arjun Reddy’ which is a remake of a film from the South. The film is slated to release on June 21 next year.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga the movie will go on floors next month. "@shahidkapoor starrer #ArjunReddy directed by @imvangasandeepproduced by #BhushanKumar, @muradkhetani, Krishan Kumar & @ashwinvarde will hit theatres on 21st June 2019," announced T series on Twitter.

The original ‘Arjun Reddy’ revolved around a medical student who falls in love with his junior and how their relationship evolves. The film featured Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles.

Actor Vijay Devarakonda donned a messy look, with long beard and hair quite unkempt in the original version. Shahid too will have to sport the same look with a long beard. However, according to reports, the actor wants some time to grow his beard as he wants to portray it as real as possible.
