As per the orders of the High Court, the BMC has prepared a list of illegal religious places which amount up to a total of 482. As a result, an appropriate action will now be initiated on these illegal religious places accordingly.

As per the Bombay High Court order, BMC had decided to take an action on all the illegal religious sites after September 29, 2009. For this, the BMC had asked for any kind of objections and suggestions on the basis of which the BMC made a list, in which a total of 482 religious places were declared invalid.

The Bombay High Court has given time till November 17, 2017, to take action on these illegal religious places. Moreover, the BMC will take action as per the defined limits. Added this, BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta will himself inspect the places that he is doubtful about.
