Now get water from vending machines at railway stations

Train commuters don’t have to go thirsty anymore. Water available at the stations isn’t really clean and safe to consume so the commuters had to control their thirst. Now, high-tech water vending machines are to be set up at railway stations.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) are making this service available at a very reasonable price. Around 37 water vending machines have been set up at 20 railway stations on Central Railway. Around 76 vending machines are to be set up on the line.

CST, Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Thane and Kalyan stations have four each, three in Panvel, two in Igatpuri, two in Bhilwara, Parel, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Kanjur Marg, Vikhroli, Mulund, Kalwa, Mumbra, Dombivli, Mankhurd, King Circle have a machine set up each.

People will get 300 ml of water in INR 1, 500 ml in INR 3, 1 litre in INR 5, 2 litres in INR 8 and 20 litres in INR 20.
