The Panchayat Samiti administration in Ambernath, near Badlapur in Thane district, has identified several unauthorised schools operating without official approval, prompting the education department to issue an alert to parents and guardians.

According to officials, these schools have allegedly been functioning without necessary permissions and recognition from the state education authorities. The administration has warned that admissions taken in such institutions may create academic and legal problems for students in the future.

The education department has appealed to parents to verify whether a school has official government recognition before enrolling their children. Authorities said some schools were found conducting classes despite lacking mandatory approvals, infrastructure compliance, or proper registration under education norms.

Following inspections, the Panchayat Samiti has prepared a list of unauthorised schools in the Ambernath and Badlapur region and initiated action against them. Officials stated that notices have been issued and further legal and administrative measures may follow against institutions violating regulations.

Authorities also urged citizens not to be misled by advertisements or claims made by unrecognised institutions. Parents have been advised to check school approval status directly with the education department before seeking admission.

Officials said the crackdown is part of efforts to ensure students receive education only from recognised institutions that meet prescribed academic and safety standards.
