Azad Maidan – Anganwadi workers started a one-day protest at Azad Maidan, CST. The workers protested to get attention for their demands of higher monthly wages, medical cover and a Diwali bonus of Rs.5,000/-. The protest was carried out under the leadership of M. A. Patil. According to the protestors, the State Government has repeatedly failed to fulfill the demands posed by Anganwadi workers.
