Bhandup- Kachra Vahtuk Shramik Sangh has started their indefinite protest outside S Ward office. They are alleging that civic officials introduced mechanical power sweeping machine because of which almost 500 safai kamgaar are on the brink of losing their jobs.
These enraged kamgaar have threatened to self-immolate if their pleas are not heard. “We are secured according to Kaamgar act and yet without our consent, they bought in the electronic sweeping machine. To top it up, they are not giving us any work now. This is injustice and we are ready to go court as well,” said Vijay Dalvi, secretary, Kachra Vahtuk Shramik Sangh
