It is a well-known fact that day-to-day pollution of beaches is a matter of concern. In the name of tourism, garbage is piling up on the beaches on a large scale. Therefore, many environmentalists are taking efforts to bring a change to this.

In an initiative to promote "Clean India", an NGO along with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has organised a beach clean up drive on Saturday, November 19.

Moreover, along with this Play and Shine Foundation has arranged a "Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament" on the same day.

Talking about the initiative, the President of the NGO, Sarthak Vani stated: "Along with the cleanliness drive, we want to encourage sports activities. So we have organized a volleyball tournament after the cleanliness drive. Therefore, he has appealed to the environment lovers to participate in this activity."

Meanwhile, it is pertinent to note many Mumbaikars, the brand leadership team, employees, and volunteers from the NGO came together and undertook a beach clean-up drive last week. The two-hour-long drive saw over 120 people including young kids, volunteers, residents, etc., cleaning at the popular Juhu Chowpatty beach.
