Wadala- From the past many years, illegal construction was mushrooming on the Wadala Bridge. Families had set up illegal houses by using plastic tarpaulin. Finally, BMC along with police razed down 60-7 shanties. “We already knew about the illegal construction and so we had given the prior intimation to the families. Despite our warning, they did not leave the place. So, with the police help, we razed down the shanties”, said police inspector Vinod Kamble.
