BMC to facelift public toilets

Mumbai - Public toilets are in shambles. These toilets are constructed by BMC, around 17,000 public toilets are in dilapidated state. BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta has ordered civic workers to equip the public toilets with electricity and water facilities.

Toilets are defunct because these facilities are not provided. A deadline has been set up by the body which is scheduled until 31 March, 2017.

Public toilets across 24 wards will be maintained. BMC will bear the expense of the renovation of toilets. This information was provided by Chief Engineer of Solid waste department of BMC, Siraj Ansari.
