Mumbai- Henceforth, BMC will not shy away from paying their electricity bills online. BMC has decided to go online for paying bills be it of street lights on footpaths or roads. BMC buys electricity from BEST, Reliance, TATA and Mahavitran and every year the former has to pay bills which goes up to Rs. 2.50 to Rs. 300 crores. Meanwhile, BMC will be getting discount for paying bills online within the seven days. And so BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta has decided to pay the bills online.
