C ward officials of anti-encroachment department demolished the illegal structures and cleared off the Brigadier Usman road.
The anti-encroachment officials carried out a raid and demolished illegal food stalls and took action against illegal hawkers. Following to which, total 178 illegal structures were demolished. This helped the residents who were finding it otherwise difficult to walk on the streets. This demolition drive was headed by C ward’s assistant commissioner Jivak Ghegadmal.
“This raid was carried out by 40 police inspectors, 15 women constables and 30 civic employees. For demolition we used one JCB, four trucks and two lorries,” said Jivak Ghegadmal.
