With women's health at the forefront, 'Menopause Clinics' have been launched in all government hospitals across the state, including in urban areas. This was stated by the Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare, Meghna Bordikar.

Minister of State for Health Bordikar said that menopause is a very sensitive stage in a woman's life. The physical changes, mental stress, hormonal imbalances, bone diseases, sleep disorders, and depression associated with it have often been overlooked until now. Recognising this need, the state government has decided to launch 'Menopause Clinics' for women.

He further stated that these clinics provide medical advice from experts, mental health counseling, bone, heart, and hormone tests, medication, and guidance, all under one roof. Maharashtra has become the first state in the country to launch such 'Menopause Clinics'. This step taken by the state government regarding women's health will serve as a model for other states.

Menopause is not a disease, but a natural stage in a woman's life. However, women need physical and mental support during this stage. Minister of State Bordikar said that the Menopause Clinics have been launched so that every woman in the state can receive proper advice, treatment, and respect during this time.
