Mohammed Ali Road- BMC took action against 15 illegal hawkers on Wednesday at Mohammed Ali road. This anti-encroachment drive was done under the guidance of Udaykumar Shirurkar, assistant commissioner of BMC.
Before razing the illegal stalls, Shirurkar went to each and every shop and asked for a license. He also caught the shopkeepers who had an invalid license. Right from food stalls to cloth stores, no shop was spared.
This drive was carried out by eight civic officials and assistant senior engineer Atul Londhe.
