135 police officers in Mumbai will be felicitated with DGP honour

The honourable police officers who contributed to the police force will be felicitated with DGP honour awards — announced by the state DGP — on May 1, Maharashtra Day at the police commissioner office.

This year 571 police constables will be felicitated for solving complicated cases and maintaining the dignity of the police force.

Of 571 police constables who will be felicitated, 135 police officers belonged to Mumbai. Some of the officers who will be receiving the honour will be police constable Sudarshan Shinde who rescued people during Kamala Mills fire case, police constable Tejas Sonawane who helped people during a natural calamity, Sushant Jadhav, Pawan Tayade, woman constable Kiran Kothule, Varsha Bhavari, Sangeeta Naik.
