Sampada Mehta is new Mumbai city Collector

Sampada Mehta, a 2008 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Mumbai Collector. 

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made the announcement, a month after incumbent Ashwini Bhide was transferred from the post. Mehta was working as Project Director of the Maharashtra Agricultural Competitiveness Project, (MACP) Pune, before landing the current assignment. 

In another development, E Ravendran who was working as municipal commissioner of Kalyan-Domibvali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has been now appointed as Commissioner of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Navi Mumbai.
