Employees on election duty to get financial benefit in case of death or injury

Family members of the employees who get injured or die while discharging their duty for the elections will be provided financial assistance by the General Administration Department headed by the Maharashtra government. 

The financial assistance will be provided if the employee is associated with any kind of election-related work either on the field or in the office. The same is applicable in the situation where the employee leaves his house or office for election duty. 

Financial assistance will be provided to the employees on election duty during state assembly elections, Lok Sabha elections, and by-polls.

The officials and workers who die while discharging their duty, their families will get ₹15 lakh while ₹30 lakh will be given to those who lost their lives if there is a terrorist or Naxal attack.

Along with this, the ex-gratia worth ₹7.5 lakh will be provided in case of disability (Hands, Feet, and Eye) while ₹15 lakh will be given if the employee is permanently disabled during any terrorist activity.
