Gautam Chatterjee takes charge as Maha RERA chairman

Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Maha RERA) has appointed Gautam Chatterjee as the full time chairman of the authority. He formerly worked as a state bureaucrat. Maha RERA was established by the state government to ease the difficulties faced by builders. The authority came into play from May 1. V S Singh and B D Kapadnis have also been appointed by the state government to this authority as members.

Gautam Chatterjee formerly served as a housing secretary for the state of Maharashtra for several years. Maha RERA was initiated in the best interest of builders and real estate agents but not many builders have registered with the authority as of now.

The new builders have been provided an extended deadline till July 31 to register with the authority.
