Fire breaks out at a thermocol factory

On Saturday evening, a fire broke out in a thermocol packaging company at Nala Sopara. The factory is situated on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway.

The fire was reported  at 5.15 pm. Smoke clouds from this fire could be seen from 1 km away. So far no injuries have been  reported, however, the factory has been badly damaged. Six fire tenders had been rushed to the spot and fire fighting operations are underway.

The cause of the fire has not been ascertained, Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) fire brigade personnel said that massive damage was caused to property.
