One of the relics of the Indian Film Industry, R.K. Studios will soon see a transfer of ownership as the Kapoor family is willing to sell the iconic film studio. As the family is unable to afford the maintenance expenses and therefore, are forced to sell the iconic R.K. Studios.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Godrej Properties has displayed its eagerness to purchase R.K. Studios.
The studio situated in Chembur has witnessed an era pass away as it has been functional for almost 70 years. Throughout its lifetime, the studio has produced several successful films for the Bollywood industry. The studio is said to be a gift for the Kapoor family that was meant to be passed down generation to generation but due to the financial constraints, it will be sold by the family.
The film studio is expected to be sold at the price of ₹175 crores. The registration process is estimated to begin by Diwali and soon R.K. Studios will find a new owner.
