The hawkers had claimed half the Kurla public bridge, causing severe inconvenience to people. According to resident Shanu Shaikh, this caused congestions and delays while travelling from Kurla east to Kurla west and vice versa. But with the BMC coming down heavily on the illegal hawkers, residents are heaving a sigh of relief. Better late than never is what they say.
