Residents of Mayur Nagar Unit 30 located in Aarey Colony, Goregaon are facing drainage woes. Residents of the adjoining Janta Colony too say they are badly affected by drainage water that runs through their lanes.

Local resident Akhtar Sheikh told Mumbai Live that every person in the building has been affected by viral diseases, including dengue. He alleged that no civic workers have turned up to clean the mess, despite several complaints.

Residents are likely to protest against the adjacent Royal Palms hotel, Goregaon. The Royal Palms drainage outlet is let out on the street, and this allege residents, has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Local ward officer Santosh Kumar Thonde says he is yet to take any action on the issue, since he has not received any written complaints.
