Mumbaikars! Get ready for monsoon

The most awaited monsoon has knocked on the doors of Mumbai city giving some respite to Mumbaikars from scorching heat. However, in next two days, there will be heavy rainfall across the Mumbai city. The Indian Metrological Department has asked all the residents to stay on alert. It is being anticipated that the south-east monsoon will reach Mumbai by the weekend. Meanwhile, the city is experiencing light showers.

In the last 24 hours, the Colaba Observatory recorded 28 mm of rain, while the one at Santacruz recorded 12 mm. According to Skymet Weather data, the city records 2,165 mm of rain from June to September. Mumbai alone experiences an average of 800 mm of rainfall in July.
