Mumbai rains expected to drench the city in the next 48 hours

Mumbaikars had to cancel their outdoor plans owing to Sunday’s heavy rainfall. On Monday, the situation was the same where commuters had to face the late train services.

The city registered a heavy rainfall on Sunday which began around 8 am and continued the same until Monday morning. Worli registered heavy rainfall (63.75 mm) following with Vikhroli (111.96 mm) and Byculla (78.21 mm).

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Colaba observatory recorded a heavy rainfall of 35.8 mm and IMD Santacruz observatory recorded 28.6 mm rainfall. According to the IMD Colaba observatory, in coming 2-3 days, Mumbai will experience heavy rainfall.
