IAS Saurabh Katiyar becomes the new collector of Mumbai suburbs

Saurabh Katiyar, a 2016 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was on Wednesday appointed as the collector of Mumbai Suburban district. Rajendra Kshirsagar, the current collector of Mumbai Suburban district, is set to retire on May 31. Katiyar is currently the collector of Amravati and will be replaced by Ashish Yerekar, a 2018 batch IAS officer who is currently the chief executive officer of Ahilyanagar Zilla Parishad.

Nawal Kishore Ram, a 2008 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), as the current commissioner Rajendra Bhosale is set to retire on May 31. Ram has earlier served as director in the Prime Minister's Office. Sheetal Teli-Ugale, a 2009 batch officer, has been appointed as the sports and youth commissioner in Pune. J.S. Papalkar, the current collector of Dhule, has been appointed as the divisional commissioner of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar division.

CIDCO's current chief administrative officer Bhagyashree Vispute has been appointed collector of Dhule, while Anand Bhandari has been appointed chief executive officer of Ahilyanagar Zilla Parishad. Although Thane collector Ashok Shingare is also set to retire on May 31, the state government has not announced the name of any new person in his place.
