Heavy Rainfall For Next 5 Days: IMD

On Monday, July 22 the maximum temperature recorded in Mumbai was 32.7 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 25.6 degrees Celsius. However, Mumbaikars will soon have relief from this scorching heat as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 5 days.

According to IMD, there is a development of low pressure in the Arabian Sea which will lead to good rainfall. The rainfall recorded at Santacruz was 1,446.2mm whereas in Colaba it was 1,019.1mm from June 1 till July 21. IMD has further issued a warning to fishermen to not venture in the sea for the next 5 days. 

As stated in the Free Press Journal, Rajesh Kapadia who is a private weather forecaster said that a low-pressure area is developing off the west coast, which will cause heavy rains from July 24 to 26.
