Maharashtra's Justice S.A. Bobde To Be Sworn In As The Chief Justice of India

Maharashtra's Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde is all set to become 47th Chief Justice of India. President Ram Nath Kovind signed on the official documents which stated that Justice S.A. Bobde will be replacing current Chief Justice's Ranjan Gogoi from November 4 on Tuesday, October 29.

Justice Bobde has heard several key cases in his career including the Ram-Janmabhoomi case along with being a part of 5-judge constitution bench. Notably, in 2017, Justice Bobde had declared that the right to privacy will be included in one of the fundamental rights of the citizens. Justice Bobde has completed his Bachelors of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB) from Nagpur University.
