While Maharashtra has recorded a rise in the number of road accidents and serious injuries in them for the sixth consecutive year, the fatalities have registered a marginal decline.

Maharashtra has failed to bring down the number of serious injuries in road accidents in 2025.
The number of seriously injured persons rose by 8 per cent during the year, marking the sixth consecutive annual increase, as per the report.
