The late Anand Dighe Bridge, which connects Kalyan East and West, will remain completely closed to traffic from November 25 to December 4 for essential repair work. The Thane Traffic Department has issued a detailed notification and urged citizens to cooperate.

Large potholes have formed on the bridge, making major restoration necessary. During the closure, no essential or non-essential vehicles from Kalyan East will be allowed onto the bridge.

Alternative Routes:
Vehicles coming from Kalyan West toward the bridge must use internal alternative roads leading to Shivaji Maharaj Chowk. For vehicles entering Kalyan from outside the city, traffic police have designated alternative highways and connectors.

Citizens are advised to plan their travel carefully to avoid delays and reduce inconvenience. Local shopkeepers near the bridge fear business may be affected but agree the repairs are necessary. Emergency services such as ambulances, fire brigade, and police vehicles will be exempt from the restrictions.
