Mira-Bhayandar city will be known as a digital city in the future. Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation has announced that “Mira-Bhayandar will be made a free wifi city.”
Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik made this announcement in a review meeting held at the Municipal Corporation Bhavan.
Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik presided over the meeting, while Municipal Corporation (MBMC) Commissioner Radha Binod Sharma and senior officials of various departments were present.
Pratap Sarnaik said that Mira-Bhayandar is a rapidly developing city in the country. In the last three years, under the guidance of the then Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, development works worth Rs 1800 crore have been completed in the city.
He also said that the grand campaign to provide ‘free wifi’ to the emerging cities of Maharashtra has been started due to the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
This WiFi technology, which provides free access to knowledge, information and entertainment to Mira-Bhayandar, is the ‘new wave of progress’. He also mentioned that there is a 'pool'.
Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik expressed his belief that 'free WiFi' will be a symbol of modernity in the scenic landscape of the city.
The city residents are saying that this decision will be an important step in the development of Mira-Bhayander city in the future.
