Bal Thackeray’s memorial will be constructed at Mayor’s Bungalow. The city requires a new place for Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar. Mayor is not happy with the proposed place in Byculla Zoo for him. Every mayor till date has stayed in the mayor bungalow.
The civic body has proposed bungalow in Rani Baug Zoo. Mahadeshwar stated that “zoo is a silence zone and the activity after 6 pm is prohibited in the area. Many dignitaries who will be travelling late at Mayor’s bungalow their meeting will be influenced. It will disturb the animals in the zoo, and I don’t want to pose any harm to the animals.”
Mahadeshwar has requested civic chief to allot him a bungalow in Malabar hill which houses additional municipal commissioner. Mahadeshwar is currently staying in Mayor’s Bungalow at Dadar.
