The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has issued a public advisory warning citizens against fake recruitment advertisements, fraudulent job offers and forged appointment letters being circulated in its name. The corporation said scammers are using counterfeit MMRCL logos, documents and email IDs to deceive job seekers.
According to MMRCL, fraudsters are circulating fake recruitment notices on social media and other online platforms, luring candidates with promises of employment and, in some cases, issuing bogus appointment letters. The corporation said it has received reports that several people have already fallen victim to these scams.
MMRCL clarified that no recruitment drive is currently underway and urged the public not to respond to unauthorised job advertisements or employment offers claiming to represent the organisation. It emphasised that it does not recruit candidates through third-party agencies or intermediaries and does not charge any fee at any stage of its recruitment process.
The corporation advised job seekers to verify all recruitment-related information only through MMRCL's official website and authorised communication channels. It also urged applicants not to pay registration or processing fees to unknown individuals or organisations and to treat emails or messages sent from unofficial domains as suspicious.
MMRCL appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to fraudulent job offers, reiterating that any genuine recruitment notifications will be published only through its official platforms.
