Viral Video: Healthcare workers dance to Zingaat in PPE kits at Mumbai's NESCO COVID care centre

The healthcare and frontline workers have been working day in and out to save lives since the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for the first time, healthcare workers on June 2, 2021, were seen dancing together wearing the PPE kits inside the patient’s ward during an entertainment program.

A video of healthcare workers dancing at the Nesco COVID-19 centre in Goregaon has now gone viral. Several healthcare professionals can be seen grooving to Zingaat song, from the 2016 Marathi film Sairat.

The event by the centre was organised not only to mark one year but also to make the doctors and nurses stress-free as they have been under extreme pressure and risk amid ongoing crisis due to outbreak coronavirus infections.

This comes at a time when Mumbai has been reporting less than 1,000 cases daily. On Thursday, June 3, the city reported 961 new COVID-19 infections and 27 fresh fatalities, indicating the second wave is clearly on the wane, the city civic body said.

Covid centres have been a place of extreme pressure and risk since it deals with the treatment of one of the most contagious disease that the humanity is facing at present.

Over the past few months, several videos of doctors dancing to songs in emergency wards so as to cheer up patients also went viral on social media. Though this was the first time, they were enjoying a little moment of relief amid challenging times.

Several netizens lauded the spirit of the doctors who have been working tirelessly and serving the nation.
