Mumbai Fire News: 6, including 2 minor, Sustain Burn Injuries In Koliwada

At least six people, including two children, sustained injuries after a major fire broke out in Koliwada area of Khar this morning, May 15.

As per the BMC's Disaster Control Management official, the blaze was reported around 8:45 am. 

Mumbai Fire brigade, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot to douse the fire and rescue those trapped after they received complaint from residence in the thickly-populated Khar-Danda sparking huge panic. They managed to contain and extinguish the conflagration in 30 minutes at around 9:19 am.

According to a preliminary information, the fire started due to gas leakage. Of the total injured, four are from the same family. The injured have been admitted to Bhabha Hospital in Bandra for further treatment.

Names of Injured admitted:

Sakhubai Jaiswal (65) sustained 45 per cent burns

Priyanka Jaiswal (26) - 51 per cent burned

Nikita Mandalik (26) got 45 per cent burns

Sunil Jaiswal (29) suffered 50 per cent burns

Yash Chavan (07) has survived with 40 per cen burns while Pratham Jaiswal (06) was found with 45 per cent brins. All of them have been admitted in ICU and PICU.
